When the facility was attacked by Adam Warlock, the rest of the Guardians left Knowhere to save the life of a mortally wounded Rocket Raccoon, leaving Obfonteri and Cosmo in charge until their return. Months later, whilst living on Knowhere, Obfonteri was still struggling to control his yaka arrow, much to the mockery of his acquaintances. Operating at Knowhere, Obfonteri continued to practice with his yaka arrow and celebrated Christmas with the Guardians with a visit from Kevin Bacon. However, when news reached them of the campaign of Gorr the God Butcher, the Guardians and Thor went their separate ways, setting out to aid those in need. Kraglin would fight alongside the Guardians and Thor in several missions, including the Battle of Indigarr. Afterwards, Obfonteri became a member of the Guardians. Regretting his actions and how his friends had been killed, Obfonteri helped both Udonta and Rocket Raccoon escape before assisting in the battle against Ego and helping out the Guardians of the Galaxy in the wake of Udonta's death during the battle. One can assume that the end of Ochi's point is that people must become a big enough monster until they're big enough to prey on others, rather than continuing to be prey themselves. " You just find the biggest monster to stand behind.until you're a big enough monsters to-" Ochi says before he is cut off.
